Mental Health Essentials Training

Equip your employees with the necessary basic knowledge for a healthy psyche.

For decades, there have been proven, scientifically based principles of mental health that have been applied millions of times. In our mental health training, we teach your employees the most important basics and skills needed for good mental health. Although this basic knowledge is in no way secret, we repeatedly find that only some people are familiar with it. By equipping your employees with this foundation of basic psychological knowledge, we help them become more productive, satisfied, team-oriented, and resilient.

This is how the training works

The event takes place weekly or bi-weekly. Selection and sequence can be freely determined per company or participant group. For on-site events, up to two modules can be held directly, one after the other.

Each module lasts 20 min and ends with reflection tasks for the participants until the next appointment. In this way, participants apply their new knowledge practically in everyday life.

The modules are independent of each other, so participants can also join in as they wish.

Parallel to the modules, in which the participants learn the basics of the respective topic and become familiar with exercises, a contingent of personal counseling units is made available. In these counseling sessions, the participants practice with a psychologist to apply the contents of the training specifically and individually to themselves so that they can best benefit from what they have learned in their everyday and professional lives.

Conscious and semi-conscious thoughts

We are only really aware of a part of our thoughts. But the thoughts we hardly notice, so-called automatic thoughts, control our emotions. Participants learn to recognize and question these.

Module 1

Healthy and unhealthy negative emotions

Negative emotions such as anger and sadness are an unavoidable and natural part of life. However, What is avoidable is their "ugly twins," such as uncontrolled anger or depressiveness. Participants learn to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy negative emotions.

Module 2

Irrational beliefs: Demands on myself

"I always have to please everyone." Every person carries around a collection of irrational beliefs that are not voiced but significantly influence how we feel and act. Participants learn the characteristics of irrational beliefs about themselves.

Module 3

Irrational beliefs: Demands on others

"You have to do what I say." We apply our irrational beliefs not only to ourselves but also to other people. This does no good to our relationships, whether at work or in our personal lives. Participants will learn the characteristics of irrational beliefs to others.

Module 4

Irrational beliefs: Demands on the world

"I have to get what I want in life." Outspoken, it sounds silly, yet it can happen to anyone in the appropriate situation that they behave exactly according to this standard. Participants learn about the characteristics of irrational beliefs about life.

Module 5

Irrational thinking: Catastrophizing

"If that were to happen, then ... and then ... And then ... ." People tend to catastrophize. Participants learn to recognize catastrophizations in their thinking and how to deal with them.

Module 6

Low frustration tolerance

"I can't stand it when I have to do XY (e.g., wait for information)." What we say to ourselves about frustrating circumstances has a more significant impact on our mental state than the circumstances themselves. Participants learn to recognize and change their frustration intolerance.

Module 7

Judgments about myself, the world and others

"If you don't give me what you want, you're a bad person." People tend to make global judgments about themselves, other people, and life itself. Participants learn to recognize and question their highly generalized conclusions.

Module 8

Mental illness

Many people have a mental illness without recognizing it as such. They focus on physical symptoms and do not seek appropriate professional help. Participants will learn about the most common disorders to seek help for themselves or to help others.

Module 9

What is psychotherapy?

Many misconceptions exist about what psychotherapy is and how it works. This prevents people from seeking help before it is too late. Participants will learn about the process, the framework conditions, and the therapy methods financed by health insurance in Germany.

Modul 13

Giving life a direction

The psyche needs an idea of where one's life is headed. People need a goal direction in life, whether starting a family, a career prospect, or a hobby. Participants learn the importance of these life goals.

Module 10

Calming techniques l

There are a handful of techniques that work for almost everyone and reduce acute stress levels. Every person should master at least one of these techniques so well that they can use it regularly and purposefully in everyday life. Participants will learn and practice the techniques.
